Send money from Qatar to Bangladesh

Public price data for transfers from Qatar is limited. We show the rates and transfer details we can verify, and also list services that reveal the full price only in their app or after sign-in.

What do the published rates show for 1,000 QAR?

Use the figures as a starting point, then check the final BDT amount for your chosen receiving method.

Live QAR to BDT comparison is not available yet

Some providers in Qatar show the rate, fee and final BDT amount only after you sign in, choose a transfer method or add a beneficiary. Because we cannot access enough comparable quotes at the same time, we cannot show a reliable live comparison yet.

Western Union is a public bank-deposit quote. QIB is a bank sell rate, not a complete transfer quote. Check whether any remittance incentive is included in the displayed recipient amount.

Qatar to Bangladesh transfer services

Sending to a bank account and sending to bKash are different routes. Choose the route the recipient will actually use before comparing prices.

Bank account or bKash?

A bank transfer puts the money into an account. A bKash transfer sends it to a mobile wallet linked to the recipient's phone number. The better route depends on how the recipient plans to use or withdraw the money.

QIB offers several bank routes

QIB sends to Islami Bank Bangladesh accounts through IBBPLC and to other banks through NPSB or BEFTN. QIB describes IBBPLC and NPSB transfers as available within minutes around the clock. BEFTN is processed the same day between 10:00 and 16:00 Bangladesh time, with later transfers moving to the next day.

bKash changes the details you need

Gulf Exchange supports transfers to bKash through Ooredoo Money. Instead of bank and branch details, the recipient needs an active bKash account linked to the correct mobile number. Confirm the number before sending and ask the recipient whether withdrawal charges matter to them.

How the remittance incentive affects comparisons

Bangladesh Bank's report for July–September 2024 states that the government incentive was 2.5% for eligible wage earners' remittances sent through formal channels. A provider may show the transfer amount separately from the incentive, so do not assume that every displayed “recipient gets” figure includes it. Confirm the current rate, eligibility and document requirements with the receiving bank or provider.

What to compare before sending

  • The final BDT amount and whether the incentive is included
  • Bank account versus bKash, based on how the recipient uses the money
  • Any wallet withdrawal charge after receipt
  • The expected processing time for the selected route
