How is the top provider determined? We rank providers by the estimated amount the recipient receives after the displayed fee and exchange rate.

What could make the difference?

Compare the estimated recipient amounts above to see how much the displayed results differ.

The difference comes from the combination of the displayed exchange rate and transfer fee. A provider may charge a low or no visible fee while including part of the cost in a less favourable exchange rate. That is why a lower fee does not always mean that more money reaches your recipient.

Before sending, confirm the final amount, receiving method and delivery time directly with the provider.

Send money from the UAE to Egypt

Egypt’s Instant Payment Network, or IPN, can be used by participating institutions to credit eligible international remittances to Egyptian bank accounts, mobile wallets and cards.

This does not mean that every transfer to Egypt is instant. The sending provider and its Egyptian payout partners must support the relevant route. Other transfers may use standard bank processing or require the recipient to collect cash.

RemitNavigator compares available provider rates, fees and estimated recipient amounts for the same send amount. After comparing the results, check how the selected provider will deliver the money.

Can an international transfer arrive instantly?

Egypt’s Instant Payment Network operates around the clock, including weekends and public holidays. Participating banks and remittance partners can use the network to credit eligible incoming transfers in real time.

Availability depends on the provider, its local partners and the recipient’s account or receiving method. The delivery route is not always disclosed in a provider’s public quote.

“Instant” should also be treated as an estimate rather than a guarantee. Provider processing, verification checks, transfer limits or incorrect recipient details can still cause delays.

Ways to receive money in Egypt

An international transfer to Egypt may be delivered to a bank account, mobile wallet or eligible card, or collected as cash. Available options vary by provider.

Bank account

A bank deposit sends the money directly to the recipient’s Egyptian bank account.

Some eligible transfers may be credited through the Instant Payment Network. Others follow the provider’s standard banking route and may take longer.

The sender may need:

  • The recipient’s full name as registered with the bank
  • Bank name
  • Account number
  • Recipient contact information
  • Purpose of the transfer, if requested

Check the delivery estimate for the specific transfer rather than assuming that every bank deposit will arrive instantly.

Mobile wallet

Egyptian mobile wallets include Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, e& money and WE Pay. Eligible international remittances can be received through supported wallet channels.

A wallet can be useful when the recipient regularly manages money through their phone or does not want the transfer deposited into a conventional bank account.

The sender will normally need the mobile number registered to the recipient’s active wallet. Not every provider supports every Egyptian wallet, even when the wallet itself can receive international remittances.

Wallet balance limits, transaction limits and cash withdrawal charges may apply.

Eligible payment card

Egypt’s payment infrastructure can support eligible incoming remittances credited to payment cards. However, card delivery is not automatically available through every international provider.

Confirm the supported card type, recipient information, applicable limits and expected delivery time before sending.

Cash pickup

Cash pickup can be useful when the recipient needs physical cash or cannot receive a digital deposit.

The recipient will normally need valid government-issued identification and the transfer reference number. They must also be able to visit a participating location during its opening hours.

Availability, identification requirements and cash access depend on the provider and selected pickup location.

What should you check before sending?

Before completing a transfer to Egypt, confirm:

  • The final amount the recipient will receive in EGP
  • The available receiving method
  • Whether the transfer uses instant or standard processing
  • The recipient information required
  • Any account, wallet, card or transfer limits
  • Any withdrawal or collection costs
  • The expected delivery time

You can also check the indicative AED to EGP exchange rate for currency context before comparing provider offers.

Rates, fees and receiving options can change. The provider’s final quote and transfer information apply to the transaction.

Eligible international remittances can be received through supported wallet channels. Egyptian wallets include Vodafone Cash, Orange Cash, e& money and WE Pay, but availability varies by sending provider.

Can an international remittance be credited to a card?

Egypt’s Instant Payment Network can support eligible card credits, but this receiving method is not available through every provider. Confirm the supported card and recipient requirements before sending.

What does “purpose of transfer” mean?

The purpose of transfer explains why the money is being sent. A provider may request this information when arranging a transfer to Egypt. Select an accurate purpose that reflects the reason for the payment.

Can the recipient collect the money in cash?
